SHIPPING POLICY

Tide N Tails LLC — Shipping Policy

Effective Date: October 7, 2026

Live Livestock Shipping Days

Tide N Tails ships live livestock Monday through Wednesday.

We generally do not ship live animals Thursday through Sunday because weekend transit can increase the risk to livestock.

Orders may be held until the next appropriate shipping day.

Weather Holds

We monitor weather conditions before shipping.

Orders may be delayed because of:

  • Extreme heat
  • Extreme cold
  • Severe storms
  • Winter weather
  • Carrier disruptions
  • Other unsafe transportation conditions

A weather hold does not constitute an order cancellation.

Delivery

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and being available to receive live-animal shipments.

We strongly recommend bringing the package indoors immediately after delivery.

Do not leave live animals sitting outside in extreme temperatures.

Carrier Delays

Once a package is in the carrier’s possession, Tide N Tails cannot control the carrier’s handling or delivery schedule.

We are not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays
  • Misrouting
  • Missed delivery estimates
  • Carrier facility delays
  • Incorrect carrier scans
  • Delivery attempts
  • Damage caused during transportation
  • Packages left outside
  • Theft after confirmed delivery

We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers when carrier issues occur.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Tide N Tails is not responsible for livestock loss caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

Heat Packs & Cold Packs

When appropriate, Tide N Tails may use insulation, heat packs, cold packs, or other temperature-control materials.

These materials reduce risk but cannot guarantee a specific temperature throughout transit.

Acclimation

DO NOT FLOAT BREATHER BAGS.

Upon delivery:

  1. Bring the package indoors.
  2. Open the shipping bag.
  3. Pour the contents into a clean acclimation container.
  4. Begin a slow drip acclimation with aquarium water.
  5. Acclimate for approximately 45–90 minutes, or longer when appropriate.
  6. Transfer the animals into the aquarium.
  7. Do not pour shipping water into your aquarium.

Proper acclimation is the customer’s responsibility.
